I Trust Rick Woodworth to Make Wise Decisions for Marco

I am writing to endorse Rick Woodworth for Marco Island City Council.
As a retired assistant fire chief, I understand that keeping a city safe and running properly requires anticipating problems most people never have to think about. Good leaders question plans, prepare for the unexpected, and address vulnerabilities before they become crises. Rick has the knowledge, experience, and dedication to do exactly that.
I also volunteer many hours each week at the Bargain Basket and am involved with Marco Island Senior Softball. That service has given me a great appreciation for those who freely devote their time and energy to our community. Rick has demonstrated that commitment for years through his service on the Waterways Advisory Committee and Audit Advisory Committee, as well as his work with Clean Marco Waters LLC.
Marco Island’s roads, bridges, stormwater systems, parks, and recreational facilities require consistent attention and proper maintenance. The recurring problems at the Winterberry softball fields are one example of an issue that must be solved, not temporarily patched, only to return again. Rick is the man to make sure the problem is properly addressed and the City plans ahead to prevent it from recurring.
Rick does his homework, asks important questions, and follows through. I trust him to use the City’s resources wisely and make decisions that will keep Marco Island safe, healthy, and strong while protecting residents’ quality of life.
